As part of the 'Meet the Team' series, we'll be asking all of project managers and people involved in the charity some questions so you can get to know us a bit more. This week is the turn of our Marketing/PR department.

Currently we have two individuals who make up the Get Hooked on Fishing marketing team; Kathryn Allan and Jack Maude. They're responsible for creating all the online content across our social media platforms.

Kathryn Allan - Marketing/PR

1. How did you get involved with Get Hooked on Fishing?

They needed someone to help with their data inputting. But I’ve taken on more responsibility since myself and Jack decided to run and handle all of Get Hooked on Fishing’s social media pages.

2. How long have you worked at Get Hooked on Fishing?

For around three years now, it’s mainly part time/casual work.

3. What's the most rewarding aspect of your job?

I love that I can promote such an amazing charity. Their mission and ethos is to be able to help everyone and anyone who needs it, and that's exactly what they do. The work the charity does to help children, their communities and everyone who comes face to face with the charity is what makes working for the charity so rewarding.

Jack Maude - Marketing/PR

1. How did you get involved with Get Hooked on Fishing? I initially got involved in GHoF because they needed someone to help with the inputting of data from each of the projects events. However, from there the role developed into aiding the marketing team in creating content and spreading the word about the charity over our various social media platforms.

2. How long have you worked at Get Hooked on Fishing? I began working with the charity back in 2014 in a part time/casual capacity.

3. What’s the most rewarding aspect of your job? Initially the most rewarding aspect was being able to see all the people who were benefiting from the charities work on a day to day basis. However, after moving into the marketing side of the charity, I have the ability to show off all the charities good work and how its online presence has grown in little over a year is incredible. Also receiving messages from people who’ve attended events, learned new skills and enjoyed themselves is indescribable.
